The Knysna Hollow Lodge is beautifully set on a secluded old country estate near Knysna‘s famous lagoon. Set amongst timeless oaks and pecan trees, the gracious old manor house forms the focal point of the lodge. Built in a bygone era, it is finished with pressed ceilings, yellow wood floors and indigenous furniture.

All rooms and chalets have been renovated and tastefully decorated with a Knysna forest feel. The accommodation consists of 15 luxury thatched garden chalets, all of which have a spacious open-plan lounge, television, telephone and private patio as well as a fireplace for all those cold romantic winter evenings. In addition, there are 49 garden suites, also under thatch, with television, telephone and tea & coffee making facilities. The Knysna Hollow Restaurant is situated in the Manor House and serves fine food in relaxed and warm surroundings. The scintillating, yet refined menu reflects flavors and influences from around the globe, with a selection of dishes sure to stimulate the senses. Choose between ocean fresh sea-food such as Cape Crayfish and Linefish, South African specialties such as Karoo Lamb and Venison dishes or decadent desserts including Creme Brulee and Blueberry Ice Cream. Enjoy pre-dinner drinks next to a roaring fire in wintertime or else in the Yellowwood-panelled pub, “The Ruthland Arms”. Your Hosts, Clive and Mark, provide Cape hospitality at it’s personal best and will assist in your selection of a fine wine to drink.
