Governor’s Camp is the Mara’s oldest and arguably most loved permanent tented camp. Named after the British colonial governors who spent many of their weekends here, it is perfectly located in the northwest salient of the reserve, situated along the Mara River.

But Governor’s Private Camp is often referred to as the “jewel in the Governor’s Camp crown.”  Only eight tents, the Private Camp can either be booked by one family or group at a time, so it’s yours to enjoy – as the name suggests – in private.
