SolyLuna is located just outside the town of Urubamba in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. There are 28 self-contained bungalows with light yellow walls, red-tiled roofs, and flower-rimmed verandahs. All are constructed of adobe, wood, stone and clay from the region. The decoration reflects the Andean setting, with ceramic-tiled floors, high “sombrero chino” ceilings with wooden beams, decorative bands of stone work, and assorted curios and details from local artisans who worked on all aspects of the construction.
Each bungalow provides full facilities and a private veranda. The resort has a large restaurant that features local cuisine, a popular local pub, swimming pool and tennis court. Built originally on a ranch, there are active stables and horseback riding excursions are offered daily.
The elaborate spa that specializes in local herbal treatments includes a fully-equipped gym, sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi, and Spanish bath.
