First transformed from a small hunting camp into a world-class lodge in the 1950s by William Holden, the Mt. Kenya Safari Club is today a Fairmont resort and spa. It joins such prestigious properties as the Plaza in New York, the Heritage in San Francisco and St. Andrews in Scotland in providing unequaled service and accommodations.

A variety of very luxurious rooms and suites are set about the 100 acres at 7,000′ underneath Mt. Kenya. The grounds of the club border Mt. Kenya National Park, and walking trails can take you among spectacular birds, plants and some big game.

The resort offers a full range of modern spa and well-being treatments, a variety of sports including fly fishing and horse riding, and caters principally to an elite group of Kenyan members. Guests are extended temporary membership in this most exclusive country club in Africa.
