Chobe Game Lodge was the first and is the oldest property in Chobe, a historic landmark that has been rebuilt several times into one of South Africa’s most fundamental lodges. Bucking the trend throughout the region into a “camp” decor, this is an excellent room by room lodge that retains the special conveniences that a solidly built lodge can afford, especially by providing the reliable air-conditioning necessary in the climate extremes found here.

There are 48 rooms, about a third upgraded with plunge pools, large public areas and an extensive lounge veranda overlooking the Chobe River. Game drives are operated in very large, 15-passenger open Landrovers, and several boats including pontoon boats provide the river game viewing.
