Few areas of the world are as unusual and stimulating as the wilderness of Namibia. The country takes its name from the oldest desert in the world, the Namib, which lies along a coast that touches the world's coldest ocean. This unusual combination produces ecology found nowhere else.

This safari samples the famous Skeleton Coast, so named because of the turbulent seas of the area that wrecked so many early ships. The safari then continues to the border with Angola, one of the most remote places on the planet. In this border region, there are still very primitive people in scenic desert landscapes.

To be able to see so much in such a short time is made possible by flying from place to place. Flying over Namibia is one of the recommended ways to see it. The great dunes, endless landscapes and unending desert can only be truly grasped from high in the air.
