Day 1: NAIROBI
Whenever you arrive you'll be personally met and privately transferred to Nairobi's best hotel, the Norfolk Hotel. A vehicle and private driver is available at your disposal throughout the day to take you sightseeing or shopping. Dinner is independent and there is a wide range of fine dining available in the city, including in the hotel's own restaurants.  [no meals]
Day 2: SHABA
SHABA
Morning flight into the Samburu National Park. You'll be personally met by Mikey Carr-Hartley or one of his senior guides and spend the rest of the day inside the park game viewing with a picnic lunch. Samburu is one of the more popular parks on the circuit and understandably so. There are large amounts of all the big game, particularly elephant. It is also one of the more crowded parks in Kenya, and your day time game viewing will help to avoid some of those crowds while still reaping the extraordinary sites of its unmatched game.

Samburu gets its name from the Samburu tribe, and during your time here, you'll have an opportunity to learn more intimately about the Samburu. Towards the end of the day you'll leave Samburu and enter Shaba National Reserve and proceed to your private Luxury Camp for dinner and overnight.  [b-l-d]

Day 3: SHABA
On a private safari game viewing is entirely at your discretion. Your guide obviously knows what is available to be seen and how to find it, but it is your decision as to how long to go out, whether to take picnics, and how much time you wish to just sit back and relax in the beautiful camp. Shaba is a perfect destination for private camping as there are less than a half dozen permanent facilities in the 100 sq. miles, allowing for entire days when you'll be completely on your own. Meals and overnight in your private Luxury Camp.  [b-l-d]
Day 4: SHABA
A final full day exploring the great bushveld of Shaba National Reserve. Many visitors say that the area remains them of America's unpopulated southwest, and certainly the spectacular sunsets and endless scrub is similar. There may be opportunities as well to visit the local Samburu tribe, an off-shoot of the Maasai. Meals and overnight in your private Luxury Camp.  [b-l-d]
Day 5: MT. KENYA
Today, you take a wonderful drive up Mt. Kenya into the verdant wheat and sheep ranches of its northern slope. Weather-permitting the spiraling glaciers will appear. After leaving Shaba this morning, the staff breaks down camp and begins moving it into Kenya's best game park to be ready when you arrive in a few days. Later in the morning you arrive the famous Mt. Kenya Safari Club in time for lunch. This afternoon is available for a wide range of spa treatments, sports activities and ultimate relaxation at this Fairmont resort and spa. Dinner and overnight at the club.  [b-l-d]
Day 6: ABERDARE
ABERDARE
You leave the club early to maximize your time in the beautiful Aberdare National Park. You'll traverse the entire park from west to east, enjoy your picnic under a waterfalls around 11,000' high. Expect to see lots of big game, especially in the lower, heavily forested areas. Higher up are unusual plants and birds, including the delicate mountain reedbuck. When you descend the western side, you'll be entering the Great Rift Valley for dinner and overnight at the boutique Loldia House.  [b-l-d]
Day 7: NAKURU
You may spend the day relaxing, horseback riding, boating or travel with your guide for a game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park. This unique ecosystem is entirely fenced in and not quite as wild as the other places you'll see in Kenya, but it stands out as probably the world's most spectacular flamingo breeding grounds. Enjoy a picnic in view of the lake before returning to Loldia House for dinner and overnight.  [b-l-d]
Day 8: MAASAI MARA
MAASAI MARA
This morning you drive into Kenya's finest wilderness, the Maasai Mara arriving your private Luxury Camp for lunch. This afternoon you begin your final three climatic days with excellent game viewing assured. Camp is placed in a secluded area away from the congested areas of the park, yet close to the animal-rich plains and rivers.

Receiving more rain than any other park in East Africa, the grasses are constantly regenerating and this sustains incredible numbers of animals. This has the added benefit of allowing off-road driving in certain areas, and the Mara is the only major Kenyan park which allows this. Dinner and overnight in camp.  [b-l-d]

Day 9: MAASAI MARA
During your time in the Mara you can elect to go great distances with a picnic lunch or return to camp for meals. Traditional sundowners and tea are enjoyed on the veld as refreshment on most game drives. In the evening the sounds of the Mara reflect that it has the highest density of lion in Africa! Meals and overnight at your private Luxury Camp.  [b-l-d]
Day 10: MAASAI MARA
MAASAI MARA
In addition to the fabulous game viewing that you're bound to have in the Mara, you can book a hot air balloon ride over the herds. This popular sport has become a Mara trademark. Each evening around the camp fire, you'll enjoy fresh hors d'oeuvres with your sundowners ensuring lasting memories! Meals and overnight at your private Luxury Camp.  [b-l-d]
Day 11: DEPARTURE
After a final morning of game viewing you'll fly back to Nairobi arriving around noon. You'll be personally met and privately transferred to the Norfolk Hotel where your room is available until later this evening when you'll be returned to the international airport to begin your journey home.  [b- - ]
